Cellulose Acetate Butyrate (CAB 381-0.5) is a cellulose ester with medium butyryl content and low viscosity. It was designed for use where low-application viscosities at relatively high solids levels is needed. It is soluble in a wide range of solvents and compatible with many other resins. It will also tolerate the use of solvent blends currently exempt from certain air pollution regulations. It is supplied as a dry, free-flowing powder.

Our Cellulose Acetate Butyrate CAB 381-0.5 features for Fast-drying, UV-resistant, excellent pigment wetting. Because of those Excellent functions, CAB 381-0.5 acts as Flow modifier & binder enhancer for Industrial & Automotive Paints, also it acts as Film-forming agent for Printing Inks. CAB 381-0.5 is widely applied to wood coating for its excellent compatibility with NC/acrylic resins.

Store at room temperature. Keep package closed after using.

Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years.

If it exceeds the 2-year shelf life, it can continue to be used after passing the test.
