Our SH-98S is insoluble in water but soluble in nearly all common organic solvents used in ink and coating systems, providing exceptional formulation versatility. SH-98S exhibits excellent pigment wetting and dispersion capabilities. Its low dissolution and melt viscosity help reduce grinding time, improve processing efficiency, and effectively prevent pigment agglomeration and re-coarsening. As a result, SH-98S enables the production of stable, high-quality universal color pastes with consistent color development and long-term storage stability. SH-98S not only functions as a grinding resin but also works synergistically with other resin binders to enhance overall coatings/inks performance. Depending on the application, it improves gloss and color vibrancy, adhesion to various substrates, film hardness and abrasion resistance, as well as resistance to yellowing and color degradation.

Solubility
SH-98S is soluble in almost all coating solvents, such as aromatic hydrocarbons, alcohols, ketones, and esters, but insoluble in water. Note that its solubility is limited in completely non-polar solvents, such as mineral oils, aliphatic hydrocarbons, and cycloaliphatic hydrocarbons, which should be taken into consideration during use.
