KBS-03-B is a calcined synthetic zeolite powder .After high-temperature calcination, the zeolite loses most of its internal moisture, creating a highly porous, activated structure. It can be used directly as an adsorbent or desiccant in various applications.
The product is a white free-flowing powder with excellent physical properties, including a static water adsorption capacity of ≥24.50 wt%, a 325-mesh screen residue of ≤0.05 wt%, and a packing moisture content of ≤2.00 wt%. These characteristics ensure stable adsorption activity during storage and transportation.

KabasphKBS-03-B belongs to the molecular sieve activated powder family. Its core advantage is selective adsorption. Synthetic zeolite has a regular, precisely controlled microporous structure that enables selective adsorption based on molecular size and polarity. In complex systems, it adsorbs target water molecules without interacting with solvents, resins, or pigments.
This property is particularly valuable in polyurethane (PU) systems. Any trace moisture can react with isocyanate components to form CO₂ gas, causing bubbles, pinholes, and other defects in coatings or adhesives. KBS-03-B captures this trace moisture and eliminates CO₂ formation at the source.
After high-temperature calcination, internal moisture is fully removed, leaving a highly developed pore network. Its 325-mesh ultrafine particle size ensures tight mixing and excellent dispersion in polymer systems without agglomeration or sedimentation. The product also maintains structural stability at high temperatures (e.g., 550°C for 2 hours), demonstrating the excellent thermal stability of synthetic zeolite.

Product Advantages
l 1. High adsorption capacity
Static water adsorption ≥24.50 wt% (RH75%, 25°C), higher than ordinary silica gel and some activated alumina products. It maintains efficient adsorption even in low-humidity environments.
l 2. Selective adsorption without affecting system performance
Adsorbs only water molecules and small polar molecules, not solvents, resins, pigments, or other macromolecular components. This ensures chemical stability and final product quality.
l 3. Extends pot life and shelf life
In PU systems, it effectively eliminates premature curing caused by moisture, prevents bubbles and coating defects from CO₂ generation, and extends formulation pot life and product shelf life.
l 4. Ultrafine particle size, excellent dispersion

Product Applications
l 1. Paints and coatings
Suitable for polyurethane coatings, zinc-rich primers, aluminum pigment coatings, floor coatings, marine coatings, and more. By absorbing trace moisture in the system, it prevents pinholes, bubbles, and “fish eyes” in the film, improving surface smoothness and adhesion.
l 2. Sealants and adhesives
Widely used in two-component (2K) and one-component (1K) polyurethane adhesives and sealants, including construction structural adhesives, automotive assembly adhesives, and food packaging adhesives. In sealant systems, it prevents bubble formation during curing, ensuring sealing performance and appearance quality.
l 3. Insulating glass manufacturing
As a desiccant component in insulating glass spacer bars, it continuously adsorbs residual moisture in the hollow cavity, maintaining glass transparency and thermal insulation at low temperatures. It also reduces structural damage caused by pressure differences due to temperature changes.
l 4. Dehydration of polyurethane polymers
Directly added to the polyol component of polyurethane to eliminate moisture introduced by raw materials and the environment, ensuring controllable polymerization and mechanical properties of the final polymer.
l 5. Pigment and solvent drying
Used for deep dehydration of organic solvents and liquid pigments, removing trace moisture that affects product stability.
