Polyamide Wax Dispersion is a colloidal dispersion system formed by stably dispersing specific types of polyamide wax in organic solvents or aqueous carriers through high-temperature swelling and shear action. It is not a true solution but rather a dispersion consisting of fine wax particles (typically micrometer-sized). Its core component is a synthetic polyamide produced by the polycondensation reaction of monomers such as dicarboxylic acids and ethylenediamine. This polyamide is carefully engineered to possess specific amide group density and molecular chain length, enabling it to crystallize and form a gel network at room temperature.

Features and Advantages:

1. Superior thixotropic effect compared to conventional anti-settling agents, providing thickening and anti-sagging properties for most solvent-based coatings, particularly suitable for high-film-thickness coatings;

2. Maintains stable viscosity and prevents pigment settling. Even with minor settling, it can be thoroughly stirred without depositing at the bottom of the container;

3. Promotes uniform alignment and positioning of aluminum flakes and pearlescent pigments, enhancing the sparkling effect;

4. Easily dispersible without grinding; achieves uniform dispersion through high-speed mixing;

5. Requires no heating for activation; dispersible within a temperature range of 20-40°C.

Applications:

Solvent-based coatings, solvent-based inks, UV curing, caulking adhesives, such as:

• Industrial Coatings: Epoxy floor coatings, marine coatings, container coatings, heavy-duty anti-corrosion coatings, etc., for preventing sagging and settling.
• Wood Coatings: Used in primers and topcoats to prevent settling of matting agents like silica in clear finishes while improving scratch resistance.
• Coatings for Textile Printing: Used in textile printing pastes to provide excellent thixotropy, ensuring sharp, non-bleeding print patterns.
• Adhesives and Sealants: Used to control flow, prevent sagging during vertical application, and suspend fillers.
• Inks: Used in offset printing inks, screen printing inks, etc., to improve printability, prevent ink bleeding, and enhance print clarity.
• Cosmetics: Used in lipsticks, mascaras, and similar products to thicken formulations, suspend pigments, and impart the desired paste structure.

STORAGE and TRANSPORT

Keep away from heat and fire. Keep in a cool and ventilated place and keep the container tight. Store at 0°C to 40°C (recover to about 25°C before use). Storage time is not recommended to exceed 12 months.

RECOMMENDED LEVELS

Anti-settling: 0.5-2%. For anti-sagging: 2-5%. The above data are empirical, the optimum dosage should be determined through a series of tests.
