Transportation and storage:

Use polyolefin containers. At temperatures <1°C BIT and BIT sodium salts may crystallise. By heating up to max. 50 ° C and stirring, the product may be dissolved again. The quality of the product will not be impaired. Minimum storage temperature: 5°C. Recommended storage temperature 10 -30°C. Protect from heat and direct sunlight. Protect from frost.

In-Can Preservatives Umiguard BCI for industrial waterborne coatings

Umiguard BCI is broad spectrum preservative for the protection of industrial water-based products against spoilage from bacteria, yeasts and fungi. It is a formulation of 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3-one (BIT) and a 3:1 blend of 5-chloro-2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (CMIT) and 2-methyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (MIT) that has been specially formulated to provide good preservation at levels of 0.17% and below.

This product is a compound product of chloromethyl isothiazolinone and methyl isothiazolinone, which can ensure the stability of water-based coating system.. Our formulation range offers benefitsincluding long-term preservation, fast-acting disinfection, temperatureand pH stability, zero VOC content and low viscosity for ease of handing. Umiguard Z40X is an effective broad-spectrum mildewcide algicide for the dry-film preservation of industrial products. This fine particle dispersion is specially formulated to not discolor due to interactions with various elements that can be present in some industrial formulations. In particular, soluble iron can react with zinc pyrithione the active ingredient in Umiguard Z40X and a gray-blue color may develop. By using Umiguard Z40X Antimicrobial in these formulations, reaction of iron with zinc pyrithione is suppressed.
