Application:

These properties make dodecanediacetic acid have a wide range of industrial applications, Mainly used in engineering plastics, ploy-carboned nylon and its products.

It is main content of nylon 1212, nylon 612, and nylon 1012, intermediate for aromatic, top-grade lubricant, lubricant antiseptic and painting material for luxurious sedan.

• Polyamide (PA):

Dodecanedioic acid is used as a key raw material in the production of polyamide. It can be polymerized with hexamethylenediamine to form PA 6,12, for example, which exhibits excellent chemical resistance and good thermal stability. It also has low moisture absorption, resulting in excellent dimensional stability. PA 6,12 is used in the automotive industry and in coatings, adhesives, and textiles.

• Powder Coatings:

Dodecanedioic acid is used as a crosslinker in powder coatings. Powder coatings offer durability, corrosion resistance, and an attractive finish. DC12 helps form crosslinked polymers during the curing process, thereby improving the properties of powder coatings.

• Corrosion Inhibitor:

DDDA is used as a corrosion inhibitor in various industries, including the oil and gas industry, metalworking, and water treatment. It forms a protective film on metal surfaces, preventing corrosion.

• Polyester Fiber:

The use of DDDA in polyester applications provides desirable properties such as improved strength, durability, chemical resistance, and thermal stability.

• Plasticizer:

DC12 can be esterified to form dodecane diesters, which are used as plasticizers in polymers and resins. These plasticizers improve the flexibility, processability, and durability of materials.

• Body Care Products:

DDDA and its derivatives are used in the manufacture of personal care products such as shampoos, conditioners, and skin creams. They act as emollients, humectants, and conditioning agents, providing moisturizing and softening properties.

• Chemical Intermediate:

Dodecanedioic acid is a valuable chemical intermediate used in the synthesis of various compounds, including pharmaceuticals, agrochemicals, and specialty chemicals.
