KBS Water-Based additives solutions are developed specially developed for water-based epoxy resin based flooring formulations. This integrated platform covers three essential functions: dispersants, wetting and leveling agents, and defoamers. It addresses common challenges in water-based epoxy flooring systems, such as pigment dispersion, color floating, poor substrate wetting, shrinkage, orange peel, foam, and cratering, especially under high-pH and alkali-resistant conditions. Suitable for water-based epoxy self-leveling floors, primers, topcoats, color pastes, and inorganic flooring, the series helps simplify additive selection, improve compatibility, and enhance storage stability and application performance.

Dispersants: Alkali-Resistant Color Paste Dispersion and Stability

Water-based curing flooring systems often require stable dispersion of inorganic pigments, organic pigments and carbon black, especially under alkaline conditions. Poor dispersion can lead to floating, blossoming, settling and uneven color development.

KBS-F7600WT — Block copolymer dispersant. For organic, inorganic pigment filler and carbon black dispersion. Color pastes made with it and color mixing are not easy to float or blossom. Reference: TEGO 760W.
KBS-F190A — Block copolymer dispersant. Alkali-resistant dispersing agent for inorganic, organic and carbon black dispersion in general-purpose color pastes. Wide range of applications with excellent alkali resistance.

Recommended for: water-based curing flooring color pastes, inorganic flooring systems, carbon black dispersion, and alkali-resistant formulations.

Wetting and Leveling Agents: High pH Stability and Surface Tension Control

Water-based curing flooring systems can have high pH and challenging surface wetting conditions. Dynamic and static surface tension must be controlled to achieve proper wetting, leveling and foam control.

KBS-L4120 — Polyether-modified silicone. Strongly reduces static surface tension. Good stability at pH greater than 12.
KBS-L414 — Alkynediol derivative. Effectively reduces dynamic surface tension with good foam inhibition and defoaming performance. Excellent acid and alkali resistance.
KBS-L361 — Fluorine modified acrylate solution. Improves long-wave leveling. Water and oil universal.

Recommended for: water-based curing flooring, inorganic flooring, high pH systems, and formulations requiring dynamic wetting, foam inhibition or long-wave leveling.

Defoamers: Compatible Foam Control for Inorganic Flooring

Foam control is critical in water-based curing flooring systems. Defoamers must be compatible, effective under alkaline conditions, and suitable for inorganic flooring applications.
